About this deal

Use the most ripe, fresh strawberries. They should be bright or deep red in color. But pay attention they’re not over ripe as overripe strawberries might be spoiled and will ruin your liqueur. Alcohol infused strawberries have been on my to do list since I started working with Jen here at Whole Lotta yum, and of course we wanted to jump on this trend while our area is producing amazing fresh and local strawberries. Alcohol, local produce and a little sugar to sweeten the deal! What more could one ask for? As I had hoped they turned out AMAZING, and definitely a Whole Lotta Yum material. You can prepare sugar syrup and especially creamy syrup the night before bottling your strawberry liqueur. Close the jar and leave the strawberry vodka to infuse in a cool dark place. I kept mine in the kitchen cupboard. (Within a few hours the vodka will absorb the colour of the strawberries. After a week the strawberries will appear almost white.) It’s a little less alcoholic than the classic version. It’s delicious served from the freezer and slowly sipped from a liqueur glass. Strawberry Cream Liqueur also great for topping ice creams.

Preparing a strawberry vodka summer punch is a fun way of entertaining guests. One of my favourite recipes is strawberry vodka champagne punch. Ingredients: If using fresh strawberries wash, hull and quarter them. Add the strawberries into the jar and then pour the vodka on top.

Pop your Prosecco, and pour the bottle over your strawberries until they are fully covered. strawberries tend to float, so you'll have to occasionally stir your strawberries to ensure they fully soak up the Prosecco. If you want to prepare only classic strawberry liqueur make sure to double the syrup and once it’s completely cool mix with strawberry alcohol. This recipe uses Prosecco, we used one pound of strawberries and one bottle of Prosecco. Make sure you use enough Prosecco to fully cover your strawberries. It does not hurt to refrigerate the vodka, but it is not necessary. The alcohol in the vodka will preserve the strawberries and prevent bacteria from growing. However, if the strawberries are not fully submerged in the vodka I would recommend storing it in the fridge. How long will this strawberry flavoured vodka last?

This is how I like to serve it on hot summer days. It is easy. I use the measurement ratio 1:3. So if you have a 180 ml/ 6 fl oz glass then add 90 ml/ 9 fl oz vodka and 120 ml/ 4 fl oz lemonade. The alcohol will sanitize and preserve the drink, so that it should last between 1- 2 years. After this time it will start to lose colour and flavour. What do you do with the leftover vodka soaked fruit? If you don’t want to discard the leftover strawberries there are a lot of different ways you can use them. This recipe is perfect for a night in with your friends or serving at your next soiree. If you plan to prepare them to serve later, I highly recommend having them displayed with the sugar on the side for individual dipping rather than pre dipping your berries, to keep your them looking fresh and delectable. No matter where you serve these alcohol infused strawberries, they are sure to be a hit! Why You'll Love This!I would recommend infusing the strawberries for between 7-10 days. The longer they infuse the stronger the flavoror. Does Infused Strawberry Vodka need to be refrigerated? STRAWBERRIES: Use firm, vibrant-coloured ripe strawberries for this recipe. Wash them well before soaking in alcohol.

In case you’re preparing both classic and creamy version, first divide strawberry alcohol in 2 equal parts. By weight you should get approximately 450 grams total or 225 grams for each of the liqueurs. Once your strawberries have soaked, strain and gently pat each dry with a paper towel. If you are not planning on eating them immediately it is best to place them in a bowl once dry, and proceed to the next steps right before you serve them. Completely pat dry each berry to help the sugar coating last longer. The alcohol infused strawberries are now full of Prosecco, so removing excess liquid will not lessen the boozy effects.

WHAT DO YOU SOAK STRAWBERRIES IN?

If you Strawberry cream liqueur tends to have a little uneven texture simply blend it in a food processor or with a blender. If you are looking for a more keto friendly option, monkfruit sweetener is the way to go. The texture is comparable to white sugar, and when paired with Prosecco, a low carb alcoholic beverage, and strawberries a relatively low carb fruit, it makes the perfect keto friendly indulgence. Strawberry Cream Liqueur is a creamy liqueur, just like Limoncello Cream but with strawberry flavor. It’s almost a dessert all on its own. Let macerate for 10 days. It’s possible to macerate strawberries for as little as 5 days up to 20 days. Puree the vodka soaked strawberries and then add some lemonade. This makes it a strawberry vodka slush.
