Given that Cura offers pre-set profile and setting configurations for the Ender 3 and Pro, it provides the opportunity to print without any initial tinkering. Alongside, Creality integrated a much better 24 V Mean Well power supply, a C-Mag textured magnetic bed, and a new MK-8 extruder to beef up the Ender 3 Pro printing performance. The Ender 3 Pro also shifted to more user-friendly bed leveling nuts. The Prusa i3 MK3S+ costs substantially more than the Ender 3 Pro/ V2 but is a widely superior machine.

Though initially designed as a fork of Slic3r for Prusa printers, the free and open-source PrusaSlicer teams up well with the Ender 3. Users complained that the original Ender 3 had issues with the build plate wobbling during printing, making the bed unstable and compromising the parts. To fix this, Creality designed a new 40x40mm extrusion for the Y-axis of the build plate. This made a marked improvement to the Ender 3 Pro’s stability. Having all this at your fingertips may stir up worries of it being too daunting, but Fusion 360’s layout and interface won’t overwhelm or confuse you. Why? Because we discovered that the improvements made to the Creality Ender 3 Pro are insufficient to justify the price increase. To do this, go to the “Settings” menu and select “Printer Settings”. To install Jyers, you must enter the bootloader mode on the Ender 3. To enter the bootloader mode on the Ender 3, you’ll need to follow these steps: It’s a standalone box that takes care of the color/material swapping for you, feeding them as and when the print requires it into the Ender 3, which prints as normal. The Palette 3 uses up to eight filament strands and combines them into a single strand of filament that’s then fed into the printer, automatically switching based on the multi-color model you send it. Far from ballpark default settings, the profiles rival Creality Slicer for just how well they dial in the Ender 3’s performance. There are tons of different build plate surfaces out there: metal, magnetic, BuildTak, painter’s tape, and tons more.
