I miss her still and my desert island would not feel like home without my copy of Circle of Friends. Building respectful teams of support around an individual, tapping into that child¹s peer group is an extremely powerful way of promoting change and insights for all involved. The story mainly focuses on when they go to University together in Dublin and encompasses the story of their friends there and in their home town. On their first day at University College, Dublin, a fatal road accident brings the pair together with fellow students Nan Mahon and Jack Foley, and new friendships are quickly struck.

She particularly enjoys pre-Code films, blaxploitation, and live-action Disney movies of the ’60s and ’70s. This helps to reinforce the technique across all aspects of the child’s life which essential for optimum consistency and effect. They would of been exciting, except Binchy's writing could be so banal, so monotone that it was hard to tell if something truly tragic/joyous happened or Binchy was just stating a fact.
