Managing to do just that and retain the games' signature blend of horror and mawkish melodrama is another thing entirely. Seriously, it's the kind of series that can have a newly-orphaned child happily ask to be adopted by the protagonists and walk off into the sunset, as with RE: 2's true ending.

Can the team, consisting of Jill Valentine, Chris Redfield, Barry Burton and Albert Wesker, survive the horrors?? As I mentioned, Perry’s Resident Evil series also includes two original books, Caliban Cove and Underworld. Both books are a fantastic addition to the series, and Caliban Cove actually happens to be my favourite. I hate Wesker even more after reading this book. I hate him from head to toe - or shades to boots, in his case - and this is coming from a person who played and complete Resident Evil 5!
